1. “add fuel to the fire”

Meaning:
Someone does something to make a bad situation worse.

Example:
“When Bob started laughing during the argument, it really added fuel to the fire!”

2. “all ears”

Meaning:
To be eagerly waiting to hear about something.

Example:
“I’m all ears to listen to your trip to London! Please tell me everything about it!”

3.“barking up the wrong tree”

Meaning:
To be wrong or misguided about the reason for something.
