Meaning:
A job or activity which is easy.
Example:
“Painting the wall was a piece of cake.”

Meaning:
To not take what someone says too seriously.
Example:
“Take my advice with a pinch of salt.”

3.“taste of your own medicine” |
Meaning:
Something that happens to you, or is done to you because you have done something bad.
Example:
“It is a taste of his own medicine. He really should not have done that, so he is getting what he deserves.”

Meaning:
To be grateful for many good things in your life.
Example:
“I think you need to count your blessings. You don't realise how lucky you are.”

Meaning:
When you complain about something that has happened in the past. Often meaning that you should move on.

“Come on, there is no point crying over spilt milk. Time to move on.”
