1. Borrow |
Meaning:
To take something from someone for a short time.
Example:
Today I forgot to bring a pen so I borrowed John’s. He asked me to give it back to him tomorrow. |
2. Lend |
Meaning:
To give something to someone for a short time (opposite of borrow).
Example:
Today I lent Joseph my pen. I asked him to give it back to me tomorrow. |

3. Bicker |
Meaning:
To argue, fight using words.
example:
"What’s that shouting noise?"
"The children are bickering again. They don’t like to share their toys with each other." |
4. Save up |
Meaning:
To try to keep as much money as you can instead of spending it.
example:
I’ve already saved up enough money to buy a new computer. I will go to buy one this weekend. |
5. Move out |
Meaning:
To stop living somewhere.
Example:
I just bought a new house in the countryside, so I’m going to move out next month. |
